Pandas, bowling and Cuties

We had a good day today. We were on our own today. We went back to the park that we went to on Tuesday. It was beautiful. We had so many people gather around us and take pictures and try to talk to us. We didn't have our guide so we pretty much had no clue what they were saying. The funny thing was that didn't stop them from continuing to talk to us. We made our way through the park and to the Panda Zoo. It was neat to see the pandas. Anna liked to watch the pandas but then she got tired and fell asleep on the way to the hotel so that means yes she had a nap today.......thank goodness.

We were going to get a cab and get some lunch but we didn't want to wake Anna up so Scott went on his own. I was a little nervous with him going on his own in a city of 6 million people but he found his way to Pizza Hut and brought us back some lunch....yeah BABA. Anna slept the entire time he was gone so she got a good long nap.

Our guide came in the afternoon to give us some paperwork we need to complete the adoption. She came up to our room and after about five minutes she said "Why is it so hot in here" We haven't menitoned it to you but it was sooooooo hot in our hotel room. (easily 80 degrees or more in the room) We just thought that was how it was here. Chinese people stayed bundled up and want their babies to be bundled up so we just figured they thought it was winter and no need for air. So we told her it had been like that and she said "NO, NO it is too hot in here" and she made a call and next thing we new much, much much cooler. We felt dumb for not saying something sooner but we didn't want to offend. We should sleep really really good tonight. Just in time to leave. We leave for Guangzhou tomorrow. It'll be Anna's first flight. We are praying it goes well. It is only an hour flight so hopefully it won't be bad. Enjoy the pictures from today.

Oh, I'm glad you got to see the pandas. Memphis zoo has a huge panda exhibit. It's really fun to watch them in the panda house. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun today. Anna gets more relaxed each day with you.

What a wonderful blessing she is! I love seeing new families come together and it brings back memories of just over a year ago when we were in China getting our sweet pea! I'm so happy for you and know that your journey is just starting and you'll have a lifetime of memories to come!

Scott, Shelley, and Anna:
I am loving the pictures. Last night when I was putting Braysen to bed, we prayed for God to protect Mr. Scott, Mrs. Shelley, and Anna. Again, Braysen looked up at me (2nd time he's done this) "Is that my Anna?" I said, "She sure is! You are going to have to teach her how to share and to play with your toys." He is pretty excited! We all are! Just one week from today!!!! We will see you at the airport! She does look very comfortable with you guys already. I am glad that you are getting those extra days with her. We only had about 2 days in country with Braysen. I believe that is going to make a difference! She does look like she is going to be a daddy's girl! So sweet!!! ;)
Love you guys and cannot wait to see you!!

Everytime I read your messages and see your pictures I feel like I am going to cry. My eyes well up with tears of joy! I am so happy for you guys and cannot wait for me and Cali to meet Anna. Enjoy the rest of your time in China - it will pass very fast. Don't be afraid to try some of the food, it is amazingly good. Just make sure they have a menu in English so that you know what you are eating. Love you and praying for you.
